Amanda Sayer – Patient Public Engagement Lead

Amanda Sayer joined the NHS in 2004 after over 15 years in International Retailing.

She is now the Business Partner for The Lighthouse Medical Practice, a 15,000 patient GP Practice in Eastbourne East Sussex. She is also a Business Management Lead for the Eastbourne Central Commissioning Cluster and is leading on the formation of a new Consortium in the area. Amanda has worked partnership with her local PCT to set up extensive patient networks.

Amanda has worked closely with NAPP (National Association for Patient Participation) has been a member of the NHS Alliance Practice Managers Steering Group. She has also worked with the DH on patient and public involvement.

Her extended portfolio includes public speaking on a variety of subjects including Patient and Public Involvement, Leadership and Strategic Business Management. Amanda’s published work includes regular articles on PPGs, Customer Service and Leadership and The Nuts and Bolts of Practice management for the NHS Alliance.
