Commissioning Plans.

Commissioning Intentions Plan;

This builds on the Incentive Scheme Plan approach and is much more detailed.

This plan sets out a vision for the group for the short to medium term, a direction of travel using PBC and the levers you have at your disposal.

This plan starts to look at specific areas / specialties and what the consortium will be doing to alter demand, with a view to then commissioning full pathways.

Here we start to tap in to the premise of invest to save and pump primed money to effect change. The pump prime money is repaid from any FuR.

This level is where PCTs are required to take some risk in further developing PBC.

Scott McKenzie Consultancy Ltd  Welcomes Dr James Kingsland as Non Executive Chairman

Commissioning Plans (pathway redesign)

This plan focuses on converting ideas into actions which lead to the development of either a redesign or a new pathway.

This plan builds upon the LES / LIS plan, and the Commissioning Intentions; the demand management we started with in the LES / LIS, and then developed further in our commissioning intentions, will now be the focus for a complete redesign.

At the end of this process the consortium, having consulted all stakeholders across the PCT, including patients, will deliver a specification to the PCT to be contracted on their behalf.

In this plan we convert ideas in to well presented, structured and evaluated proposals; this start with analysis of the data and the skill sets available to the consortium; is the redesign completely valid.

A business case (for clarity I use business case when talking commissioning and business plan when talking providing) is then developed.
