Evaluation and Gap Analysis

At SMC our process is transferrable across all sizes of CCG and allows for safe risk management. We offer a step by step process which is underpinned by robust analysis, looking backwards over a longer time period, and within transition. The process will ensure you avoid and eliminate confusion about what has to be achieved, and every stage is outcomes based, ultimately leading to full authorisation.

Utilising the past 6 years of working with consortia to build successful commissioning groups SMC is now responding to the latest challenges following the government listening exercise.

In response to this SMC is delighted to offer a new workshop which allows emerging commissioning groups to understand the 4 key areas, and all sub sets leading to authorisation, in a straight forward and jargon free setting.

1. Engagement and Relationships

2. Commissioning Plan (including QIPP)
3. Organisational Development
4. Governance and Accountability
5. Authorisation criteria

SMC works with groups using a proven process to evaluate progress towards authorisation. Complete the workshop to understand the authorisation jigsaw and ensure structures and processes are following a successful route to authorisation.

• Check where you are now versus where you need to be

• Build a process map for all steps required of an emerging consortium
• What changes should you plan to ensure your authorisation?
• Are you utilising the best skill sets within your consortium?
• Do you need increased practice engagement?
• Do you understand your routes to authorisation?

This is a tested process already being used with other consortia supported by SMC, with excellent feedback from both consortia and PCT’s.

“Moira Dumma from the SHA said that she was very impressed with our progress and approach to date, especially compared with other consortia she had visited.

She commended the management support to FHC and I congratulate you personally with that, as your help is and continues to be, invaluable to our progress towards assurance, which incidentally, she felt we were well on track to achieve ahead of the game.”
