Scott McKenzie Consultancy is an independent, national company, widely recognised as a specialist provider of support with all aspects of enabling and delivering change within the NHS.
Our work is mainly focused upon Commissioning within the NHS, where we work with and support and number of GP led Consortia and PCTs to deliver the transition in to GP led Commissioning.
Services cover each of the following areas
The focus for early work lies in developing a partnership between Healthcare Professionals. We provide considerable support to emerging consortia and PCTs, and envisage a collaborative approach throughout the process. At SMC avoid just ticking boxes and instead focus on how consortia start to deliver meaningful outcomes using all the levers and incentives available. SMC brings a wealth of practical experience based upon our existing work to our client base. Each aspect of the work is built around the five key drivers:
• Improving health and reducing health inequalities
• Improving the quality of service offered to patients
• Improving equity of the services available
• Improving the health, wellbeing and overall outcomes achieved by patients
• Embracing the principles of cost effectiveness and improving value for money
With the NHS now requiring unprecedented levels of efficiency in the next three/four financial years SMC has developed systems and process to ensure consortia can achieve what is required. The emphasis is on the delivery of the required outcomes and moving consortia forwards at all times. At SMC we have a practical approach in which consortia can quickly progress towards authorisation.
At Scott McKenzie Consultancy Ltd we have a straightforward process for enabling change in the current climate, built upon our experience in, building and developing over 50 Commissioning Groups and working with many PCTs. The National Association of Primary Care, where Scott is an elected member of the NAPC Council, currently recommends our work.
• Commissioning plans which enable long terms and sustainable change
• Organisational development to increase effectiveness and viability
• Governance and accountability at all levels within a consortium
• Preparation for the authorisation process
